FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 27, 2006 - Ann Arbor, Michigan - Arotech Corporation (NasdaqNM: ARTX) announced today that its Simulation and Security Division, through its FAAC subsidiary, has consolidated several of its most popular simulation-based training solutions into an integrated offering called the FAAC Public Safety Suite.
FAAC has long offered Driver Training Simulators for fire, EMS and law enforcement agencies, while its sister company, IES, has offered use-of-force training solutions to the law enforcement community. In the last year, FAAC has rounded out its product offerings by introducing an Incident Command Training simulator, which, in its initial configuration, is designed to help train firefighters to better manage fires.
"With the increasing visibility of NIMS, the National Incident Management System, mandated by the Department of Homeland Security, we have seen a strong demand for training solutions that allow fire, EMS and law enforcement agencies to train together," said Kurt Flosky, FAAC's Executive Vice President. "This demand, lead by community colleges and regional training centers, is for an integrated set of training solutions that address all aspects of emergency response. The Public Safety Suite brings together our well-established solutions into one integrated training suite." The FAAC Public Safety Suite brings together solutions from three different areas:
"It's all about the adrenaline," said one leading instructor for a major city police department. "It's not just knowing how to respond to an incident in a classroom setting, its knowing how to respond under pressure, with everything happening at once and your heart racing. With the Public Safety Suite, we can throw whatever we need at the students to create the desired level of realistic stress and complexity. You just can't do it any other way.
"Components of the FAAC Public Safety Suite can be used either separately or together in integrated training exercises.
