LE-1500 Driving Simulator
The LE-1500 has:
• 5 displays made of LCD panels offering a 225 degree Geometrically
Continuous Horizontal Field of View (FOV). Designed specifically for
law enforcement, this simulator trains the officer to turn a full
left and right for critical intersection analysis.
• an “open-air” cab/driving station fabricated with materials
that are representative of an actual police
• emulated police dash and seating configuration
• an emergency radio
• a siren/lights console
• TrueFeel Steering providing a more realistic “feel”
for force feedback, camber recovery, tire scrub, curb strikes and
road vibration.
• proper braking controls
• Doppler effect surround sound to enhance acceleration, deceleration
and cornering. Other sounds include engine sped, road noise, tire
skidding, brake application, and collisions with vehicles, signs,
trees, buildings.
• MDT software
• DUI capability
• POST certified scripted scenarios designed to teach a variety of
driving/judgment skills
• the capability to pause a scenario. Instructors can elect one of
three re-drive options: have the student continue to drive from the
point of the pause OR jump back to a previous point in the exercise
OR completely re-drive the entire exercise.

The LE-2000 has

• an actual, cut down automobile cab. FAAC converts actual vehicle
cabs into driver training simulators so that the student is trained
in the actual driving environment they will experience in their daily
routine. This driving simulator is custom configured to the requirements
and training objectives of the customer. The OEM equipment found in
the actual vehicle can be made to function to the real-time simulation.
