Pump Ops is a simulation training device that provides a hands-on, immersive experience in the operation of a fire apparatus pump. This simulator system exposes the trainee to various evolving situations that they can interact with in a safe classroom environment. Pump Ops provides training that cannot be duplicated safely using real fire engine apparatus. This saves water and possible damage to firefighting apparatus, and provides the instructor and operator in the training session with the right information to improve pump operations on the job. The result is a firefighter that feels confident in a real-life fire emergency and has a higher level of skill in pump panel operation.
