Arotech’s FAAC Incorporated Announces Expansion of Orlando Presence

Ann Arbor, Michigan – December 3, 2012 FAAC Incorporated, part of Arotech Corporation’s (NasdaqGM: ARTX) Training and Simulation Division, has increased its Orlando presence with the addition of two key personnel:

  • Austin Adams has been hired as a Military Business Development Representative, specifically tasked with expanding simulation opportunities with the USMC and US Navy. Adams is a decorated Marine Corps Officer leaving active duty with the rank of Captain. Adams has years of successful management and leadership experience with a reputation for meeting the most challenging organizational goals and objectives.
  • Darren Law has been hired as Principal Systems Architect – Virtual Environments. Law possesses a wealth of valuable experience in the simulator arena including substantial expertise in software design and development in the areas of Semi-Autonomous Forces (SAF), terrain reasoning, product line architectures, and systems performance. Law most recently served as Lockheed Martin’s Chief Systems Architect for Immersive Training and has previous experience working with FAAC as SAIC’s Chief Scientist on the Common Driver Trainer program.  Law will be our senior technical representative in Orlando, serving as the foundation for increased engineering efforts in support of local initiatives.

Darren Law and Austin Adams join our existing Orlando team of Todd Glenn – Director of Military Business Development, Christian DeGraff – Military Business Development Representative, Tim Wagner – Site Manager and Senior Technician, and Sam Worrell – Director of Military Business Development Emeritus.

“We are excited about the continued growth of a meaningful presence in Orlando. We have always wanted more than a simple conference room or part-time office,” said Kurt Flosky, FAAC Executive Vice President. “The addition of Austin and Darren indicate our commitment to support the military simulation efforts centered in the area.”

Law and Adams will both be working out of FAAC’s Orlando Integration Laboratory on South Econ Circle located off Alafaya Trail, minutes from Research Park. The 10,000 square foot facility is a mixture of development/production and office space. The facility is serving as the southern integration lab for our VCTS program, housing a complete suite of simulation equipment, and has hosted numerous demonstrations of our commercial driving and use-of-force simulators.
