A maneuver is a configurable event based on either a time or location trigger. Each maneuver contains unique parameters that affect the behavior of the maneuver. Time-based maneuvers are 90 met. Location-based maneuvers are triggered once the subject vehicle has passed a specified location.

The Maneuver Designer software developed by Realtime Technologies allows a researcher the power of programming their own maneuvers, in addition to the ones provided with the SimCreator DX product. Maneuver designer provides context help when programming much like the features in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment. It also does some light error checking. There is a WYSIWYG interface for creating documentation for other users to understand the intent of the maneuver.
