Full Immersion, Full Engagement

By training in a realistic virtual environment, the immersive simulation solution helps prepare safety and security professionals for emergencies, disasters, and other incidents. This preparation encompasses both strategic tactical response and psychological readiness, along with communication soft-skills. And you do so without the dangers, costs, and time associated with traditional large-scale command and control training.

Since a more immersive training experience is inherently more engaging, trainees benefit from improved retention and recall. By creating a training environment that more accurately emulates every aspect of an incident, you prepare your firefighters, officers, and trainees to tackle that situation in real life.

Trainee: Experience the Consequences of their Actions

inCommand is powered by XVR On-Scene, an off-the-shelf interactive 3D incident command and control simulation platform for tactical and procedural-level training. Using inCommand, trainers can place responders into scenarios of varying complexity. These range from simple exercises focused on a single skill, concept, or policy to complex multi-user/multi-agency scenarios that test many aspects of the responder’s situational awareness, decision-making, and familiarity with policy and procedure. This is especially vital with all-hazards training for low-frequency/high-risk events and incidents. Outside of a simulator’s immersive realistic virtual environment, it is simply too dangerous or costly to properly prime anyone to make the right decision under such circumstances.

Trainer: Ready to Train Out-Of-The-Box

TRAIN: You can integrate inCommand into your training program straight out of the box. Instructors can draw from the included library of pre-built evolutions, scenarios, and modules covering a wide range of incidents, working in a proven “simple to complex” manner. If your training needs call for consistency between sessions and training groups, you can maximize this with repeatable scenarios controlled by programmable events and triggers. Or you can dynamically alter the scenario in real time, to better react to the trainee’s decisions or reflect the unpredictability of a given situation.

REVIEW: Through inCommand’s powerful After-Action Review system, the instructor and trainee can review the trainee’s experience in the simulator. Rewind the scenario and let the trainee relive the experience to understand the consequences of their actions, observe what they missed, and reevaluate their decisions.

BUILD: As they become more experienced with the simulator’s capabilities, instructors can expand their scenario library using the included Build application. They can modify any pre-built scenario in the included library or build their own from scratch. Draw from the hundreds of included interactive objects and environments to create locations and landmarks from your community or recreate past incidents or hypothetical future incidents of concern.
