MILO Employees Earn 3 Year Certification With Sig P320 Armorers Course

To lead off a new staff training and education initiative, MILO service, training, and sales staff attended the Sig P320 Armorers Course. Attending alongside a representative from the Massachusetts Police Training Council and the Brighton Police Department, MILO staff became certified on the SIG SAUER P320 pistol, a firearm often seen and utilized in MILO training scenarios.

The Sig P320 Armorers Course focuses on mechanical functioning, disassembly, and reassembly of the SIG SAUER P320 pistol. During the course, MILO staff participated in a fully hands-on program, guided step-by-step by highly knowledgeable instructors through all armorer operations, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repairs. After actively participating in these hands-on activities and follow-up Q&A debriefings, participants who successfully completed the course were issued a 3-year factory certification. Maintaining current practices and procedures for factory authorized service is essential, and keeping MILO staff sharp and knowledgeable about the firearms used in training is a key component to this new training and education initiative.

Future training and education opportunities for MILO staff will include working with other firearms and less-lethal weapons, technical training with computer components and software, and in-depth workshops highlighting current police training tactics and techniques. The MILO training and education initiative promises to keep MILO staff on the cutting edge of the industry.
