Solving the Homeless Veteran Problem with Supportive Housing from MILO

The Housing Solution to End Veteran Homelessness
MILO has always built with purpose. Now, we’re building homes with the same approach.
For decades, MILO has supported our nation’s military through modular firing ranges and simulation training solutions. Our mission has always been centered on readiness, reliability, and impact. As the national crisis of veteran homelessness grows, we’re applying that same mindset to supportive housing. We’re here to provide veterans the safety, reliability, and security they once provided for others.
Why Veteran Housing?
Over 33,000 veterans across the United States are experiencing homelessness—a number that underscores a persistent gap in our support systems. In May 2025, a presidential executive order directed federal agencies to prioritize housing for 6,000 homeless veterans in greater Los Angeles, calling for agencies beyond the VA to provide immediate solutions that are scalable, effective, and ready for deployment.
MILO Live is answering that call.
We’ve applied our decades of modular construction experience to a new and urgent mission: delivering safe, efficient homes for homeless veterans in need.
Introducing MILO HomeBase
MILO HomeBase is a modular housing solution designed to support veterans with stability and dignity. Unlike temporary shelters or VA housing assistance services, we’re providing full-featured, code-compliant homes built for real, long-term use. Whether deployed as part of a transitional program or a permanent housing initiative, each HomeBase™ unit is built to support health, safety, and independence.
Every home includes critical infrastructure: HVAC, ADA-compliant bathrooms, insulated walls and floors, kitchenettes, safety lighting, and more. But we know that’s not enough, so we also include items like a bed, refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, and microwave. The result is a fast-deploying, durable solution that meets the immediate needs of veterans and their families, as well as the requirements of the agencies and organizations serving them.
Supportive Housing, Built to Serve
Here’s what sets MILO HomeBase apart:
– Rapid Deployment – Units can be delivered in as little as 30 days
– Full-Featured Design – Includes heating/cooling, kitchenettes, storage, ADA bathrooms, and safety systems
– Expandable Configurations – Create single homes, duplexes, or veteran communities
– Code-Compliant – Meets OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, and ADA regulations
– Low Maintenance – Durable interior and exterior finishes built for long-term use
A Call to Action For The Homeless Veteran
Housing veterans won’t happen with policy alone, and it can’t be left solely to the department of veteran’s affairs. It’s a shared responsibility among those of us who care to end veteran homelessness. With the executive order in place and funding opportunities expanding, this is the time for action. MILO Live is ready to partner with local governments, veteran service organizations, housing authorities, and nonprofits to create real, lasting housing solutions.
We believe safe, stable housing is foundational for dignity and independence, and every homeless veteran deserves access to it.
Let’s Build Something Meaningful—A Home
